Old: Mini’s Divine Shield Pala 1.0

note: Old post. See: Mini’s Big Pally which evolved from this deck.

This whole freakin’ deck has divine shield. And lots of buff. it’s 1.0 because I’ll be working on this deck over the next few days.

I have now added four buffs: two +4/+4 and two +8/+8 (can’t attack hero this turn, though).

But to do that I had to take out two weapons, Truesilver, 4/2’s. I’ve kept Prismatic Jewel Kits x2 and Hammer of the Naaru x2. I like having six weapons in the deck, honestly. But i’m trying out this Buffadin.

Mini’s Two-Time (Aggro Druid)

This deck is an aggro druid deck. It uses Solar Eclipse + Arbor up (Or Kodo Mount, Spikeshell or any other spell) to cast these spells “twice”. Note: Kiri drops a third Solar Eclipse for the deck. This deck also uses two Oracle cards to duplicate any one or two-cost minions that are played when the Oracle is on the board. Finally, it spikeshells taunt minions for free copies.

note: This is not an exploit! you can Spikeshell and copy Greybough. If there’s other minions on the board he’ll keep respawning infinitely. One game I killed 12+ Greyboughs and finally lost. It inspired me to make this deck. Another game I solar eclipse “cast twice” + spikeshelled Greybough and had 3 copies on the board, each respawning. So broken … Greybough should not have taunt in my opinion: you’re basically forced to attack him every time he respawns (or silence him or use a board clear).

cards worth mentioning: Cornelius Roame is very good behind a Greybough or other taunt minions, drawing up to 4 cards per turn safely behind them for a turn or two. But if you really want to, you could take Cairne Bloodhoof or Moonfang instead of Cornelius Roame. If Moonfang catches a buff he can be devastating. On the other hand Cairne Bloodhoof drops a 5/5 token, which can usually be buffed the next turn.

Also: Cenarion Ward, possibly instead of Kodo Mount is also possible; But I dont’ prefer it; But you can solar eclipse the ward later in the game and get two 8-cost minions. But i find every time i do this that the minions are underwhelming. I’m not sure if they draw from a shoddy pool. I prefer Kodo Mount and Cornelius Roame right now.

Mini’s Ogremancer Quest Warrior

Ogremancer counters all these spells being cast in the current meta. If you’re lucky enough to draw an ogremancer vs mage or warlock or shaman, or even quest hunter, it can be devastating. Pirate Warrior isn’t played very much. FIgured I’d mash the two up. Still working on this deck. Check back soon.

notable mentions: two one-cost pirates (not in deck).

Mini’s Psyche Split Shadow Priest

Warning: Cheese.

This deck is fun. You basically copy your voidtouched with Psyche Split which makes a copy of the buffed voidtouched! Don’t worry, it’s a shadow spell so you still enter shadow form at the beginning of the game. It’s a modification of the aggro shadowpriest deck that i’ve seen in tournaments. It aims to end the game early. This makes it so that you could potentially see up to 4 voidtouched’s per game instead of the usual two, maximizing your win conditions. I took Psyche Split over two legendaries from scholomance academy, which will rotate out soon. I save dust where I can!

4 zero-cost cards (Desk Imp x2 and Murloc Tinyfin x2) can be removed from the deck for Hysteria x2 and two other minions of your choice. I might squeeze in the two hysterias, but the problem is if you draw even a few spells in the early game, it can be devastating as it’s one less minion. So I prefer the 4 zero-cost cards to get on the board fast.

Mini’s Quest Warlock Deck

I take many spells and tamsin, which duplicates them. Two curious things about me: I take two imps AND two hyenas that damage you in this deck; to speed up quest completion. I also take deathwing as an extra late-game clear and 12/12 minion. The Deathlock deck; the Hyena Deck; call it what you will. I call it Quest Warlock.

notable mentions: I have no battlemaster (adjacent minions have windfury) and i’ve removed the two Dark Alley Pacts I usually like playing with handlock builds. The only way to really win in this deck is to take fatigue after quest completion. That’s all this quest aims to do. It does have 5 clears; two soul rends, two entitled customers and deathwing, 3 of which discard cards per minion killed. So there’s that. You’ll get to fatigue fast if you draw these cards.

Decks: Mini’s Dark Alley Warlock

On turn four, if you tap twice on turn two and three, if you mulligan for Dark Alley Pact and have it in hand, you can play a huge minion. This often works against non-aggro decks like Mage, which don’t play many early minions; but use this deck at your own peril! It’s NOT quest lock by the way; one extra card on turn one and in the mulligan to draw Dark Alley Pact!

Explanation:

With Anetheron, two flesh giants, and two Dark Alley Pacts, that’s potentially 5 to 9 eight+ attack minions, if you count Tamsin Roame copying Dark Alley Pact and you ressurecting Anetheron or the Two Flesh Giants. Holy Schmokes! That’s alot of firepower! 8/8 or 9/9 as early as turn 4!

The idea is to get battlemaster down (adjacent minions have windfury) and/or just face down the enemy. Dark Alley Pact can be cast as early as turn 4, and again on turn 5 if you have both copies in hand. Both copies can also be copied, yes they’re shadow spells, if Tamsin Roame is on the board! Also try to use her before casting Siphon Soul, an execute which costs 5 mana, or any other shadow spells – you’ll get a free zero-cost copy of all shadow spells you cast when she’s on the board.

Mulligan for Dark Alley Pact. Discard everything else except perhaps Entitled Customer and Anetheron. You could theoretically tap on turns 2 and 3 and drop Dark Alley Pact on turn 4 (vs Quest Mage, for example, who has very few minions, this could work). Then Battlemaster (adjacent minions have windfury) is mega damage on turn 6.

Alternately, if you draw Tamsin Roame, you could hold off till your hand is absolutely full and it’s turn 7, to cast Dark Alley with her on the board. She’ll give you a free, zero-cost copy, which you can immediately play for two large minions on Turn 7.

Decks: Mini’s Arbor Up Druid

September 2021 – United In Stormwind deck

Win conditions: Solar Eclipse + Arbor Up. (note: Kiri provides a third solar eclipse to the deck). Know when to place oracle on turn 3 and when to keep her for turn 5 or 7 with some two-cost minions; so that you can be guaranteed she copies one or two of them. Basically you’re playing cheap cost minions and buffing them with Solar Eclipse + Arbor Up, or Solar Eclipse + Pride’s Fury, or Cenarius (+2/+2 to all other minions).

Notable card mentions: Two landscaping cards can also be taken. For 3 mana you get two 2/2 minions. Any cheap minions that stick to the board early that can catch a buff are extremely useful.

Decks (from: “Neologisms”)

Decks is a new neologism of mine. Because I am a paranoid schizophrenic, I frequently write things that don’t make sense to anybody else. It’s no wonder i’m a writer and an part-time English undergrad. I am constantly explaining my zany thoughts and crazy concepts by writing about them.

Here’s my latest game with the voices in my head:”Decks”.

Decks are the sum-total of your human thoughts. They’re lines of information. They’re human thoughts collected, one by one, with each line played in the subconscious turned into a card and left in the memory. When played by recalling the line, a response is heard!

The voices that reply with their own lines, can be anything from a made up character’s reaction to an emulated celebrity’s unauthentic voice, telling you what it thinks.

Some decks are opposed. This is where I have created a classification of decks, “heaven decks” and “hell decks”. You’re usually either in heaven, where the rule of law is respected, or in hell, where the rule of law isn’t respected at all.

Criminals and their consortium, though they’d just as soon lie to you and tell you they’re in heaven, are actually in some sort of living hell, breaking rules, breaking the law, and well, living a sort of “hell” that most regular people tend to avoid by being honest, hard working, law abiding, “heaven decks” and good citizens.

This book I’m writing, dubbed “Decks”, is about a world where people collect thoughts like a card-game with each thought a valuable card. Whenever a valuable thought spawns, a price is listed and can sell, trade, or discard it.

I’ve played “Decks” by myself, since telepathy is not live -but i hear replies, people i.e. characters/voices buying cards, bidding, trading cards, using cards/lines, etc in my head. My interesting and complicated inner world is constantly updating me with what I call data or information.

Who knows where this might go? I wonder if anybody connects to my brain and chats with me or if all of my work is uniquely my own and made up. I get a little paranoid sometimes, but i’m harmless.

Your secular artist,

Steve Mini from the 6ix.

My reading pledge: an hour a day: 24-36 books a year.

I’ve pledged to read about 25 paperback pages, or a minimum of an hour a day, every day for life.

I’m a part-time English literature undergrad, who takes a course at the prestigious University Of Toronto every year.

This year I realized that I would have to read 8 books and about twenty short stories for my two half-courses.

I figured what the heck. Might as well dock it, time it, and make sure it occurs. Why not every day for life?

At about an hour’s reading, you could knock off a book every two weeks. That’s 2-3 books a month. That’s probably 24-36 books a year.

To commiserate “my yout”; which wasted on video games, and sci-fi and fantasy books, I will attempt to read, on a kindle, the top 100 of science fiction and fantasy books. That’s more than 100+ books. This could take me three to five years if I put in the work and read for about an hour a day. (edit: It’s actually several hundred books. It could take me a decade or more to read all of them if I’m reading at one hour a day!)

By that time I should be finishing my degree in English literature and starting to spend more and more of my free time writing and less of it playing things like World Of Warcraft.

Besides, I’m a hearthstone streamer now. Don’t @ me. one or two seshes a week and all the quests are done.

I even have two twitch accounts for now, none of which is partnered (so you can’t subscribe, but you can follow me):

www.twitch.tv/StephenMiniotis

www.twitch.tv/NCSmuzik

Anyway, back to reading. I would love for this to eventually be a charity goal of mine. And if I complete it, I donate to charity or raise funds. I’m huge into literacy and books. Would also love to be a sponsored reader somehow. We’ll see.

If you pledge today to beat me and read more than me, I will smile. I think often how many people don’t read at all and it terrifies me. I hope this inspires you. Despite my illness (i.e. distracting voices, schizophrenia), I will persevere and even graduate.

Yours truly,

Steve Mini from the 6ix.

Edit: Post-script: Actually, the top 100 books of all time are several hundred volumes. eg. Lord Of The Rings is 3-4 books. Reading them all could take me longer than I thought, possibly a decade. Anyway, my kindle is now loaded up and ready to go!

Cheers.
